Online notary public: power of attorney Dubai Courts online, enotary
You can get a power of attorney through Dubai Courts online, without standing at a counter, and you can also use our online notary public service. Our in-house notary public runs online sessions 24/7 where the document type allows it. Separately, the UAE Ministry of Justice runs its own enotary system, and this page explains all three routes.

At a glance
- Our in-house notary public at our Business Bay office runs online notary public sessions, 24/7, where the document type allows it.
- Dubai Courts verifies the parties to a POA by virtual or personal attendance.
- The Ministry of Justice system is officially called the E-Notary System, at enotary.moj.gov.ae.
- Federal law makes personal appearance the default, but lets the notary use IT tools instead (Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, Articles 17 and 18).
- "enotary" is also a marketing word. Only the Ministry of Justice system carries that name.
Send your document on WhatsApp +971 52 947 5935 and we tell you which online route fits.

Online notary public with us
Online means a remote session through official UAE channels. You upload your files, join a video session from where you are, and our in-house notary public confirms who you are and what you are signing. We can also do it in person at Business Bay or at a home visit.
We draft the text, prepare the Arabic and check the names against your ID first, so the session runs without corrections.
Side by side
Three online routes, and which one fits
| Route | Run by | What it is | Fits when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Our online notary public session | Our in-house notary public | A remote session with our notary, through official UAE channels | The document type allows a remote session |
| Dubai Courts virtual attendance | Dubai Courts | The Dubai Courts notary confirms your identity and consent over video instead of at a counter | The POA is for use in Dubai and Dubai Courts accepts virtual attendance for it |
| E-Notary System | UAE Ministry of Justice | Federal remote notarisation at enotary.moj.gov.ae | The document falls under the federal system |
The Ministry of Justice also runs a digital POA service, with digitally ratified POAs in Arabic and English. It offers eight POA types, including legal cases, real estate and vehicles. Our Dubai Courts notary guide explains the court route.
Step by step
How a remote session runs

Your document is ready.

You receive a time and session details.
You join from a quiet place with your original passport and Emirates ID in your hand.
The notary confirms who you are and asks whether you agree with the document.
You sign electronically or confirm your consent, as the system asks.
The document is issued.
Keep the reference so anyone relying on it can check it.
Checklist
What to prepare
What to prepare
- The POA or declaration text. A general POA in general terms covers acts of management only (Federal Decree-Law No. 25 of 2025, Article 871). Pleading, sale or settlement need a special POA naming the act (Article 870).
- The Arabic, done by a legal translator registered with the UAE Ministry of Justice.
- Names on the POA that match each ID exactly.
From abroad
If you are abroad, whether a remote session is open to you depends on the route and your ID. If it is not, use a UAE consul in your country, or a local notary followed by attestation by your foreign ministry, the UAE embassy there and MOFAIC. The UAE is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so an apostille alone does not replace that chain.
Watch for
What holds a remote session up
- The Arabic translation is missing or was not done by a Ministry of Justice legal translator.
- The ID shown on camera does not match the uploaded copy.
- The POA is general, but the act needs a special POA.
- A poor connection.
To check a document issued through the Ministry of Justice system, use its search page at enotary.moj.gov.ae. For Dubai Courts documents, see verifying a Dubai Courts document.
What it costs
Price
Price
Preparing an online POA with a remote session starts from AED 1,500. The government fee is paid on top at cost: AED 100 per party under the federal schedule, or on the Dubai private notary route AED 100 per party for registration plus AED 100 per signature. All service prices are starting prices and are negotiable. Government fees are paid on top, at cost, exactly as the authority charges them. We confirm your final price before you pay. See our POA price guide for examples.

How we help
How we help
We draft your POA in Arabic and English, our in-house notary public notarises it in an online session, and we hand it to you. If the receiving body needs the Dubai Courts or Ministry of Justice route instead, we prepare the file for that route and tell you what to expect. See our power of attorney services and legal translation. Call or WhatsApp +971 52 947 5935, or email support@notarypublicindubai.com with what the POA must do and where you are.
Questions
Questions about online notary and enotary
Is enotary Dubai the same as Dubai Courts?
No. The E-Notary System is run by the UAE Ministry of Justice. Dubai Courts has its own notary and supports virtual attendance on its POA service. Private businesses that use "enotary" in their names are neither.
Can I get a power of attorney online in Dubai?
Yes, through our online notary public sessions where the document type allows it, through Dubai Courts virtual attendance where the court accepts it, and through the Ministry of Justice digital service for the POA types it covers.
Is an online notarised document legally valid?
Under federal law, an e-signature and e-document notarised under the notary decree-law have the same evidential value as an official signature or instrument (Article 23).
Do I still need an Arabic version for an online POA?
Yes. Dubai Courts asks for documents translated into Arabic by a legal translator approved by the Ministry of Justice.
Are you the Ministry of Justice E-Notary System?
No. We are NotaryPublicInDubai.com, a separate business. Our online notary public sessions are ours, and the E-Notary System is the Ministry's.
