A power of attorney for property management in Dubai lets a person you trust run your rented or empty unit while you live abroad: find a tenant, sign the lease, collect rent and keep the unit in order. The two limits that protect you most are a money cap and the word "not". Write a top amount for repairs and state that the manager may not sell, mortgage or give away the property.

If you expect a case against a tenant, add a separate power to plead, or give it to a lawyer.
Keeping the powers narrow makes it easier for a bank, an owners' association or a tenant to accept the document.

In short
How long it should run
UAE law sets no general validity period. A POA lasts for its written term or until the work ends (Article 897). For a landlord, a term of a set length that you review is easier than an open one. You can revoke it, see cancelling a POA.

Can my agent renew the tenancy and register Ejari?
Yes, if both are written into the POA for the named unit.
Can my agent pay service charges?
Yes, when paying service charges is listed. Give a top amount if you want a limit.
Can my property manager sell the unit?
Not with this POA. Sale is a separate special act.
Can a company be the manager?
A company can be named as agent. Send us the trade licence and the name of the person who will act for it.
Do I need a new POA if I change managers?
Yes. Revoke the old one and make a new one for the new manager, so two people do not hold the same powers.
