A Dubai Courts appointment is the government route for notary work, such as a power of attorney or an affidavit. We offer another: our in-house notary public at our Business Bay office, online or on a home visit. Both routes end with a notarised document, so the choice comes down to where and when you can sign.
WhatsApp +971 52 947 5935 and tell us the document and where it will be used.
At a glance
Dubai has a Government notary public (Dubai Courts) and licensed private notaries on a roll kept by Dubai Courts.
A Dubai Courts appointment is made with Dubai Courts, through its own channels.
Our in-house notary public is available 24/7 for appointments, home visits, online sessions and WhatsApp.
We draft your document in Arabic and English, our in-house notary public notarises it, and we hand it to you.
Fees differ by route. See the table below.
Two routes, one result
Notarial acts in the UAE are regulated by Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022 on the regulation of the notary profession. In Dubai, notaries public are regulated by Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013.

What to bring to any notary appointment
Your Emirates ID or passport.
The document, or the details so it can be drafted.
Proof of authority, if you sign for a company.
The name of the office that will receive the document.
If the document is in English only, ask the receiving office whether it also needs an Arabic version. Translations for official use are done by a legal translator registered with the UAE Ministry of Justice.

Send us your question
Tell us the document, who signs it and where it will be used. We reply with the route, the list of what to bring and your price.
Dubai court marriage appointment
A Dubai court appointment for marriage is a matter for Dubai Courts. We do not book it, and we cannot tell you its steps. Contact Dubai Courts first.
What we can do is the paperwork around it. Our in-house notary public can notarise supporting documents, such as a consent or a declaration. For a document that comes from abroad, the UAE is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, so it is attested in the issuing country, then by MOFAIC. Ask the office handling your marriage which documents it wants first.
Online and at home
You may not need an appointment at a court at all. The UAE Ministry of Justice runs the E-Notary System for remote notarisation. Our own in-house notary public also offers online sessions and home visits. We tell you if your document can be done online. Read about online power of attorney through Dubai Courts.
Cost
Price
Government fees are set by the authority. Under the federal schedule (Cabinet Resolution No. 19 of 2024), notarising a general or special power of attorney is AED 100 per party. A private notary on that schedule may add up to 30%, so a power of attorney that way is AED 130 per party. Under the Dubai private notary route, effective 2 January 2026, registration is AED 100 per party plus AED 100 per signature, and a trip outside the notary's place of work is AED 1,000.
Our own prices are from AED 1,500 for a power of attorney of any type, from AED 600 for affidavits and declarations, and from AED 400 for a certified true copy. Home visits are quoted on request. Government fees are paid on top, at cost. See the full table of Dubai Courts notary public fees.
Watch for
Mistakes to avoid
- Turning up without a ready draft.
- Signing before your ID has been checked.
- Using a document that does not match the one the receiving office asked for.
- Booking a court appointment for a document that can be done online.

Frequently asked questions
How do I book a Dubai Courts appointment?
Book through Dubai Courts itself. Check its website or call centre for the current steps. If you would rather skip the court visit, contact us and our in-house notary public can do it at our office, online or at your home.
Can you book a Dubai court appointment for me?
No. A Dubai Courts appointment is made with Dubai Courts. We offer our own in-house notary public instead, so you do not need a court slot for notary work.
What is the Dubai Courts contact number?
We do not repeat numbers here, because they can change. Our guide to Dubai Court customer care explains how to reach Dubai Courts.
How do I get a NOC from a Dubai court?
A NOC depends on who needs it and why. Tell us the document and where it will be used, and our in-house notary public team will tell you the next step. For a NOC used in court work, you may also need a practising advocate.
Is an appointment needed for a home visit?
Yes, we set the time with you by WhatsApp or phone. Home visits are quoted on request.
